The partnership of Henry, Jordan & Company was formed in 1832 by William Henry (1794-1878), John Jordan, Jr., and John F. Wolle. The partners took a ten-year lease of the iron mines and furnace at Oxford, Warren County, N.J., from the widow of the former owner, Morris Robeson. The firm operated the property until 1840, when it sold the fixtures and unexpired lease to George W. and Selden T. Scranton. The Scranton brothers operated the mines and furnace until 1844.
